2029 was my 2nd game on IGG to play -- definitely sad to see 2029 close down.

Yea, I played that game for quite a while. Then I switched back to wl. It was very sad to see it go. Hey, not everything can last forevr.

I played a couple of weeks it too. Didn't really get very much into it tho. But wasn't surprise that it closed, the game was pretty much dead. /yct57

Very nice game
As I said in another post, I hope IGG will release the server of the game so people can setup their own servers - even with bugs...

Yes, I guess IGG haven't adopted this type of advertisement model...
2029 was a very nice game even solo...

really now i was gone a while but i dumped a couple hundred bucks into 2029, and i saw nothing in return, what happened to your policy of free to play for ever
sad thing is i just got off with support, there not even going to reimburse people that invested money into 2029, i will never play another igg game again i only had about 300$ invested into the game but its more then i give most

'Free to Play Forever' is YOUR decision. You lucky in IGG games you don't NEED to pay to get a certain level.

1) The reason i dont play IGG games is because of the corrupt GMs.
2) I do think IGG realise this, and thats how they ended up closing most game who were not profit enought.
3) This is a game, and gamemasters is recruited to work for the company, its often the gms wrong doing who makes the game going under the bridge.
4) I do think once IGG got their company stadged and on better view and better gms, they will start up their new projects once again.
5) I do think this is 1 of the biggest reasons behind closing most games they planned to start up, but comming up with bad excuses.
This is an view i got from talking to different company members via mail system.

Lately new companys improving their customer support, their gm power, so this means even the old companys have to do the upgrades to.
also heard some news that the mmo marketing is becomming even more strict, means it have to be some kind of changes.

I was a moderator on the forums once upon a time. And I liked the game. Reminded me of Star Trek. TNG though.
