My perception of the average newbie's experience

My experience as a newbie has in general been a good, yet lonely one. When I used to play Myth War II back in the day, you used to be able to log on and find a whole assortment of players ready to greet you, and help you out. Like 1 - 2 years later, the only way you'll get help is if you ask a question in the world chat. If it weren't for the fact that I have money to spend on this game, I would've quit by now, because as a newbie, there's really no real reason to play other than if you are the lone wolf type, looking to be the best... but we all know this isn't a lone wolf sort of game.

The seasoned players should start looking at helping newbs more often, without being asked. It'll probably keep a lot more of them here, that's for certain. So that's my experience as a newbie! Hopefully this has shed some light for some people on where the status of this game is.

Post-note: No, this isn't a cry for some friends, anyone who has even the slightest intelligence will understand this is a legitimate view and take it into consideration.
