There's 2 ways that you will need in order to determine where the points will go to.
If you want to be a melee type (Physical skill tree), you'll be needing STR.
If you want to be a mage type (Magical skill tree), you'll be needing INT.
That's just the general concept of building the character.
Here's a bit more detailed build that you can follow for both melee and mage type.
***QUEST TYPE BUILDS***
-MAGE
INT: xxx
CON: xxx
WIS: xx
For INT, you can put as much as you want. The hidden skill needs 114 INT.
For CON, it's really important so get a lot of CON.
As for WIS, keep it to minimum. This means to only put how much is needed for terrafication, which is the last seal skill for earth. If you want more MDEF, you can add more, but it's not recommended.
-MELEE
STR: xxx
CON: xxx
WIS: xx
It's the same build as mage, however, instead of putting the points into INT, it'll go on STR.
***PK/PVP TYPE BUILDS***
For these builds, you won't need as much CON. You'll be putting more into AGI so that you can outrun other players.
WIS is the same as the quest build.
-MAGE
INT: xxx
CON: xxx
AGI: xxx
WIS: xx
-MELEE
STR: xxx
CON: xxx
AGI: xxx
WIS: xx
These are just the basic builds. You can put more on each attribute depending on your preference. There's just one thing that you shouldn't do.. don't make your character hybrid, meaning putting points both on INT and STR. You need to choose whether you want to be a melee or mage.
