I searched several times the forum for this issues. however to no avail. But I do think someone else might have ran into it.

After logging in, selecting character, It shows my character in town then freezes. and eventually the windows dialog appears to "debug," close, or wait til program responds.

I tried several settings and none work.

anyone else had/have this issue? how to fix?

strange problem, maybe you have a bug with the game, if so try to download again. if that fails it may be because of your pc. many people say they have problems with w7

Try downloading again the game,or see if ur nVidia [or whatever you have] has been updated recently.

couple things - I do use windows 7. for those that experienced the same lock up using win7,  do you have a thread/link that I can follow in hopes that they may post their results if they were able to play?

try reinstalling the game if all else fails go reinstalls Windows it is possible that you have to be coloured viruses affected Windows I go play best on w7 as on any windows
and I am glad to see more people on the forum

THAT is a generic response...
reinstall windows for a game that crashes when no other application does? Aion, WoW, Guild Wars etc... - c'mon quit it! I Know last week a friend of mine in construction demolished a house with 2 bulldozers - client was NOT happy - they said it was the only way to kill the stupid mouse


I downloaded the game 2hrs prior to posting. so unless them devs posted a new patch hence, that would be pointless. what ever files were in the first download, will be the same in the second. If the files are corrupt, the installer most likely would catch that, and if not, the patch would (I am sure besides file comparisons and size, they do crc checks as well).

here is what I did to MAKE IT WORK! I disabled my anti-virus for a bit and ran it. Runs fine. THAT is a common cause of many game lockups and lag. Now this will most likely not work for everyone, however it is worth a try - beats re-installing your operating system -

So check to see if your spamware and/or anti-virus is interfering. If so, you have to make a decision to play the game with it off, or UNINSTALL the game - not the other way around.

I use avast and microsoft security essential and I did not have the deal with antivirusu and I have had problems with OS windows XP I had and I don't go game had ace las errors as you and I go perfect on w7 I say to try all methods
